pre - school
We have two preschool rooms, Honeysuckle and Buttercup but the children free flow between the two. The children start pre-school after they are three years old.
Jodie is the Room Supervisor in Pre-school. She has been with us since she first qualified as a Level 3 practitioner in 2008. Jodie has gone on to gain her Foundation degree in Early Years and has worked her way up to her current position.
Jodie has spent most of her career working with children aged 3-4 years old where she has helped lots of our children and families make a smooth transition from Nursery to school.
Bunty is a senior practitioner in Pre-school. She started her career 9 years ago working as an apprentice. She has been with us since November 2018 when she started as a practitioner.
Bunty is currently in the second tear of her Early Years Foundation degree which she is finding interesting but challenging.
Cheryl is one of our nursery practitioners who juggles work with parenthood so works term time only. She has been with us since February 2017 but has worked in childcare for 15 years.
Cheryl is Level 3 qualified and has worked mainly with our over 2's but also has a lovely touch with our youngest children in Primrose.
Rubee is our newest nursery practitioner in Pre-school. She started with us in June in our Bluebell room but we soon saw that her talents really lay with the pre-school age group.
Rubee started her career in a pre-school setting 6 years ago where she began as an apprentice and worked her way through her level 2 and level 3 qualifications.
Karen has been with us since September 2012 after her sons came to the nursery. Karen initially volunteered with us but went on to achieve her level 3 qualification.
Sadly Karen chose to give up her role as a nursery practitioner in January 2021 but we were lucky enough to win her back to work 1:1 with one of our pre school children.
Our pre school provides an ideal learning environment for the children to explore and learn. We share the outdoor space with the School Reception children which helps children to make a smooth transition to the school.
